The
boat is of steel construction and is a John Pue designed. The name Nicky Mar Lou is
after my three daughters
(Nichol, Marisa &
Louise)
I have been nearly 13 yrs
building my dream. She
is 42ft with a 14ft beam a shallow draft motor sailor, ketch rigged with 74 square
meters of sail. She is
powered by a Perkins 6354, 120hp diesel. The inside is fit out with recycled
Jarrah, Hoop pine, Kauri & ply. All that's left is electrical & outside trim.
What an experience building her.
